Blue River Classic Youth Poultry Show

Join us for the Blue River Classic Youth Poultry Show! This exciting event brings together young poultry enthusiasts from across the region to showcase their birds and compete in various categories.

The show will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Gardner, KS. Registration opens at 8:30am and the show begins at 9:30am.

This event is open to youth ages 7-17 who are members of 4-H or FFA. Participants can enter up to 10 birds in various classes including bantam and standard categories for pullets, cockerels, hens, and cocks. We also offer showmanship competitions for different age groups.

All birds must be APA recognized breeds and colors. No waterfowl or pigeons are allowed. Birds must pass a health check and be free of mites and lice. Participants must bring their own cages and supplies.

Ribbons and prizes will be awarded for top birds and showmen! This is a great opportunity for young poultry enthusiasts to showcase their birds, learn from experienced judges, and connect with other youth who share their passion for poultry.
